BFT’s Heritage™ tiles are present-day replicas of famous Minton (encaustic) tiles which were brought into India by the British. In 1922, as a part of India’s Swadeshi Movement, BFT designed its own set of tiles and hand-crafted them from cement in a multitude of patterns and colours. Today, floors made from BFT’s Heritage™ tiles offer an alternative to expensive ceramic and marble flooring.

A Heritage™ pattern is formed by a combination of four tiles, and BFT works closely with their clients to custom design floors which reflect the mood, values and aesthetics of the clients. What’s even more fascinating is that these Heritage™ tiles can be used in combinations with BFT’s own Unitinta plain tiles in subtle colours.

Each beautiful pattern in Bharat’s range of Heritage™ tiles has been carefully designed for years of livability. Because a Bharat floor is forever, we take great care in ensuring that patterns have a timeless beauty, and will retain their allure over the years. Each of the patterns you see below can be customised with different colours, borders, and Unitinta tiles to make a floor that will be unique.

BFT’s Heritage™ tiles are usually 20 cm x 20 cm in size, with corresponding border tiles and corner tiles. Combinations of Heritage™ patterns set off against a variety of different borders and corners are also attractive possibilities in designing floors with Bharat Floorings and Tiles.
