BANDHANI
Derived from the Sanskrit word ‘bandha’, Bandhani is a type of tie-dye textile that involves dyeing a fabric, which is tied tightly with a thread at several points to form a figurative design. Hugely popular among the masses, these intricate designs are usually made on vibrant backgrounds largely found and associated with Gujarat, the diamond shape that is formed while dyeing the fabric was the inspiration for the BANDHANI range. The range depicts the culture and festive spirit of the state, which has been inspired by murals and motifs which is believed date back to the 5th century.
