Art Deco Terrazzo Range
So called because the Terrazzo tile has its origins in India produced by in the art deco period of Mumbai history when Bharat Tiles were installed across the country, but particularly in Bombay residences, cinema theatres, offices and landmark public buildings. The Art Deco style was developed following World War I, offering people a glamorous style for a new era. The excitement and optimism of post-war Europe and America formed the basis for this elegant and ‘modern’ style of decorating.

The Art Deco style across fashion, architecture, fabric and jewellery design, furniture, and interior design used sleek, smooth lines. It combined modern materials, movement, and the industrial trends of the time. Our Art Deco range of Terrazzo with its high quality marble chips and a wide variety of background colours created stunning floors which were widely appreciated by architects and often covered by the press.

The initial offerings of Terrazzo were supplemented with borders of Heritage™, but soon Terrazzo took over as the flooring of choice in modern buildings.

Bharat’s Art Deco range has 30 background colours, and a wide variety of chips and chip sizes with which to play. The chips available range from Jaisalmer stone, Cuddapah, Italian and Indian Marble, Lemon Yellow, Udaipur Green, Agra Red, Snow White and a dazzling range of recycled glass.
