Elle Decor feautures Customised Bharat Tiles at Channel V’s lounge bar V Spot, Gurgaon, Delhi. Designed by IdeaSpice Design.
A 3,000 sq ft space in one of New Delhi’s upmarket colonies, Saket, [V] Spot cafe Bar is quintessential Channel [V]. Super-sized video panels and iPads galore dominate the interiors. Tully vision, a wall of high gloss, Blue TVs lit with LED lights from the backdrop. Contemporary-cool is the only way to describe the bright red furniture that has been sourced from both India and abroad. Custom cement floor tiles give the eatery a unique feel. The washrooms are a visual treat – large, graphic, black and white prints pepper surface while graffiti painted on walls is mounted with acrylic for protection. Interestingly enough, the entrance and welcome area together create a life-sized logo, cuing a complete [V] experience. The [V] Likey wall sports funky circular patterns, parts of which open up to become self-lit shelves that display products curated by them. The colour palette that boasts teal, raspberry red and lime green is contrasted by funky illuminators, giving the cafe a young and pop feel, like something out of their chirpy music videos. With a design format that maximises brand-audience interaction and can be replicated across multiple Indian locations, the television network’s foray into unchartered territory guarantees new success.
